That’s right. We are retiring Flux Family Feud to bring you the hit game show The Price is Right! Now that our finances are an Open Book, there’s no better game show for Flux than The Price is Right. Just like the actual game show, everyone has a chance to be a contestant, every contestant will have a chance to win fantastic prizes and one lucky contestant will win The Showcase Showdown which will include a 12-month subscription to The Shakespeare Society plus other incredible prizes to be announced soon! The show will be hosted by several Flux Creative Partners and special guests, featuring Kevin R. Free as the announcer!
This special fundraiser will help us raise the funds necessary to produce our exciting new season which will be announced the night of The Price is Right! We hope you can be there to support us. HOW DOES IT WORK?
Like the game show, nine people will have their names randomly drawn to be contestants in the show. Similar to the game show, contestants will compete to win prizes throughout the game and one lucky winner will win THE GRAND PRIZE in THE SHOWCASE SHOWDOWN! Unlike the game show, however, contestants will not guess the prices of new cars or detergents but rather guess the prices of things in the entertainment industry. Wondering if Plinko or The Big Wheel will be featured? Well, you’ll have to be there to find out! Depending on which ticket type is right for you, you can increase your chances of becoming one of the lucky contestants. More money more chances!
I WANT TO PLAY BUT I HAVE A CONFLICT THAT NIGHT!
Don’t worry! Even if you can’t be there, you could still be a contestant! Simply purchase your ticket and choose one of our specially-designated proxies who will play the game for you! Your proxy will represent you and, if your name is called, he or she will jump into the game on your behalf! These trusted proxies will be specially handpicked and vetted by our fundraiser committee. So, just purchase your ticket and send an email to heather@fluxtheatre.org stating that you need a proxy to represent!
