Tell me something wonderful about girlhood (either from experience, or observation).

One thing I have grown to love about girlhood is the fact that we are able to support each other from not only our shared experiences, but also with empathy. In the patriarchal society that we live in, it is so easy to for girls and women to feel insignificant or less than. I have found that really beautiful work and conversations come out of spaces where women are given the opportunity to relate to and understand each other. It is easy for us to compare and pit ourselves against each other, but with our support of one another, we can truly raise each other to our full potential and feel the power in our girlhood.

If you had the power to glimpse the future, would you? What would you try to see?

I don’t think I would glimpse to the future if I had the ability to. I would be so concerned with the butterfly effect and would be worried that every decision I ever make would be the incorrect one, causing the future I saw to change. I truly think I would be too terrified to leave my house, as I would feel the weight of the future on my shoulders.

Anything coming up you want to tell us about?

I will be stage managing The PIT’s “That’s Our Show!” performance on Thursday, May 22nd at 9:15pm, which is a variety spectacular in the form of sketch comedy.
