Aves + Autta + Ino + Mel Spotlight: Rachael Hip-Flores

We’re thrilled to continue spotlighting the creative team for Aves – Autta + Ino + Mel with Flux Creative Partner Rachael Hip-Flores, who plays INO. We asked Rachael a few questions based on Rebecca Ana Peña’s powerful new play, which you can learn more about here.

Let’s say you decide to establish a new religion: what or who would you put at the center?
Joy! Obviously! Maybe kindness, but that’s a soft maybe. I were the one in charge, I’d mostly leave people to their own devices; I’m genuinely not about creating extra work for myself.
What do you do when you need to express some rage?
Oh, rant to my nearest and dearest and legally bound.
Tell me something wonderful about girlhood (either from experience, or observation).
FRIENDSHIP!! We love each other with abandon! It’s the most beautiful thing!
If you had the power to glimpse the future, would you? What would you try to see?
ABSOLUTELY NOT! THAT HAS NEVER GONE WELL!! READ THE STORIES! READ THEM TO THE END!!
Anything coming up you want to tell us about?
If you’re in LA in June, I’ll be doing a show called The Visitor as part of the Fringe Festival!
