What a fabulous night!

We were thrilled to kick off Flux’s 2025 with a new play from longtime Flux collaborator, Montserrat Mendez. On Monday, February 3, at 6:30pm ET we hosted a staged reading of Rebecca Roman Redd at the Most Dangerous Hour, directed by Christine Zagrobelny, at Playwrights Downtown’s Studio 3F, 440 Lafayette, NYC.

The cast of Rebecca Roman Redd at the Most Dangerous Hour featured an exciting mix of Flux Creative Partners and newer collaborators, including: Tonia E. Anderson, Aaron Parker Fouhey, Christopher Moncayo-Torres, Chester Poon, Corinna Schulenburg, Alisha Spielmann, and Isaiah Tanenbaum. Jason Tseng was the lead organizer and dramaturg, and Jodi Witherell was the stage manager.

Rebecca Roman Redd at the Most Dangerous Hour, by Montserrat Mendez, is a sexy, farcical comedy about a delightfully disconnected, mega-successful author navigating her identity and past loves when her wildly popular YA series about a werewolf hunter suddenly becomes all too real. The play was developed over 2024 through Flux’s Core Work program.

Rebecca Roman Redd at the Most Dangerous Hour was made possible by the generous support of:
