Flux Sunday, LA, 9/6

Susan and Leo and everyone we know.

It was a low-key affair for FluxWest’s second gathering at the cheery yellow castle, which meant that we could have beer. Having run up against the holiday weekend, we made the most of our time together and read through three pieces, giving feedback at the end of each one (woot for collaboration!)

Pieces worked on included: the opening of Eric Rudnick’s thriller Burners, Leo Shvedsky’s The Admiral (because no story is complete without a ghostly appearance from Admiral Lord Nelson), and Derek Houck’s short film, You Slept With My Girlfriend. Super fun times all around, with Derek and Leo pulling double duty as actors and additional appearances from Ned Thorne, Susan Louise O’Connor and Frank Krueger.
